Useful reading
The Financial Markets Authority and the Institute of Directors in New Zealand have produced A Directors Guide (www.fma.govt.nz/media/1626304/a-director-s-guide.pdf). The guide sets out "the essentials of being an effective director" and discusses best practise and legal requirements for a number of topics such as before taking on a board role, decision making and when things go wrong.
